Qld: Fears for man missing for two days

BRISBANE, Dec 24 AAP - Police hold grave fears for a Toowoomba man who fell from his
dinghy on Monday morning while holidaying with his family.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, fell into Lake Monduran in the south-east corner
of Queensland at about 7.25am (AEST).

Hundreds of State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers, an Energex chopper and police
have spent the past two days searching for the man.

Police resumed their search at 6am (AEST) this morning but if he is not found they
will scale it back.

"They will continue to search the area if a need arises or when information comes in,
but otherwise the search will be scaled back after today," said a police spokeswoman.
